DEAR CHAIRMAN: Koh Boon Hwee,

I WRITE TO YOU AT THE SUGGESTION OF LARRY SELMER OF BOEING AIRLINES) REGARDING MY DEVICE CD-SAVES
(COCKPIT DOOR-SOUND-ALARM-VOICE EFFECT-COMMUNICATION SYSTEM.
BOEING’S NEW COCKPIT DOORS ARE DESIGNED TO PROTECT AGAINST
BLUNT FORCE, AND IS ALSO OFFERING A CABIN VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
SYSTEM, USING TWO LOW-LIGHT CAMERAS, ONE IN THE DOOR THE

OTHER JUST BEHIND IT. THIS WILL ALLOW THE CREW TO IDENTIFY
ANYONE SEEKING ACCESS TO THE COCKPIT, AND TO SEE IF ANYONE
IS THREATING OR INTERFERING WITH THE CABIN CREW.
THERE IS NO SOUND SECURITY IN THE DOOR AT ALL.
LIKE ALL MAJOR AIRLINE MANUFACTURES THEY HAVE ALL DONE
EVERYTHING THEY THOUGHT POSSIBLE GIVING TITLES TO THERE DOORS
SUCH AS: 1) “AIRBUS INTRODUCES TERRORIST PROOF DOOR”
2) BOEING “NEW INTRUSION-RESISTANT COCKPIT DOORS”
3) C & D AEROSPACE “SECURE COCKPIT SYSTEMS.

OTHER ADDITIONAL TITLES GIVEN TO NEW COCKPIT DOORS
ARE AS FOLLOWS AEROGUARD DOOR, GUARDIAN FORTIFIED DOOR, IMPROVED VERSION DOOR, SMART ARMORED DOOR,
IMPACT FORCED DOOR, AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON.
HOWEVER NONE OF THESE DOORS HAVE A SOUND SECURITY SYSTEM
AT THIS TIME I BELIEVE SINGAPORE AIRLINES SHOULD RE-EXAMINE
THEIR COCKPIT DOORS AND TO CONSIDER RETROFITTING CD-SAVES INTO THE COCKPIT DOOR MAKING SINGAPORE AIRLINES THE LEADER IN SOUND SECURITY IN THE COCKPIT DOOR.
I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IF SINGAPORE AIRLINES DESIGN &
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT (SECURITY) WILL TEST A SOUND SYSTEM
SUCH AS CD-SAVES OR COME UP WITH A IMPROVED ORIGINAL VERSION
OF ITS OWN. I KNOW IT WILL TURN AWAY A MENTALLY DERANGED
PASSENGER FROM CONTINUING TO ATTACK THE COCKPIT DOOR TO
GAIN ACCESS. I WILL GLADLY FORWARD TO YOU ALL THE INFORMATION
TO HELP YOU GET STARTED WILL THIS ASPECT OF COCKPIT DOOR
SECURITY THAT NECESSARY.LOOKING BACK AT THE LAST THREE ATTEMPTS,
1) “PASSENGER SUBDUED AFTER HE TRIES TO BREAK INTO COCKPIT DOOR.”
DATE OF ATTACK: FEB 07, 2002 -UNITED AIRLINES FLIGHT 855 WITH 167
PEOPLE ONBOARD, MANAGING TO SMASH IN PART OF THE REINFORCED
DOOR BEFORE A CO-PILOT CLUBBED HIM WITH A AX.
2) “WOULD-BE HIJACKER STORMS COCKPIT, STABS TWO FLIGHT
ATTENDANTS” DATE OF ATTACK MAY 29, 2003-QUANTAS AIRLINES.
3) “EL AL HIJACKING IS AVERTED”
DATE OF ATTACK NOV 18, 2002
AIRBORNE GUARDS FOILED ATTEMPTED HIJACK OF AN EL AL FLIGHT

FROM TEL AVIV TO ISTANBUL 170 PASSENGERS ONBOARD.
THE NEXT ATTEMPT MAY BE DIFFERENT THEREFORE BY SINGAPORE
AIRLINES GOING FURTHER WITH A SOUND SECURITY SYSTEM INSTALLED

INTO THE COCKPIT DOOR THE PILOT WILL BE AHEAD OF ALL ATTEMPTS
TO GAIN ACCESS INTO THE COCKPIT CABIN.
I WOULD LIKE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE DONE MY BEST TO GIVE
